Is The Builder Complying With Approved Standards?

You are spending a lot of money on your new vessel. Unfortunately, not all boat builders fully comply with established safety and building codes to ensure a safe and reliable vessel.

Even well known and supposedly reputable builders have been known to cut corners where quality is concerned.

Are There Hidden Design Flaws?

This is not to mention inherent design flaws that, in some cases, have been passed on to owners who are left with little recourse for remedy and later sustain substantial losses on their investment at resale time.

This has even occurred in vessels and yachts built to the most ridged standards of the American Bureau of Shipping and Lloyds classification societies.

How A Professional Survey Can Protect Your Investment

Getting a Custom or New Build Survey can determine the care, craftsmanship, and quality of materials put into a vessel or yacht and ensure that it is suitable for your intended use and that you're getting what you're paying for!

If you are considering a having new vessel commissioned or are purchasing a new production vessel and want to ensure that the construction is in accordance with the designer's specifications and all systems are in compliance with the latest safety standards. Give us a call

What A Surveyor Will Look For

All States Marine Surveyors will review the manufacturer's plans and specifications for safety systems such as wiring, plumbing, fire fighting, life-saving, cooking and heating systems to insure compliance during the manufacturing process.

We will conduct on-site visits where the vessel is being built at critical stages of construction to ensure all specifications are met.

If this is a production vessel we will conduct a thorough survey to determine compliance with current ABYC, NFPA and Coast Guard standards. This is an important quality control procedure you need.

Timely Communications

At all points during inspection of the vessel's construction, All States Marine Surveyors will be communicating with you, the buyer. We will keep you well informed of the progress and of any critical changes that need to be incorporated into the vessel's design through written reports via email, fax or regular mail.
